Balázs Jarábik is nonresident scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where his research focuses on Eastern and Central Europe. He managed Carnegie`s award-winning „Reforming Ukraine” project providing rigorous monitoring of the reform process between 2014-2018. He also consulted Ukraine’s governmental institutions to implement the Association Agreement with the European Union as a short-term expert of the EU funded Association4U project in 2017-2018. Jarabik has 20 years of experience of managing large scale international development projects in his native Slovakia, the Balkans and Eastern Europe. Between 2006 and 2012 Jarábik based in Kyiv, Ukraine overseen the grow of the US NGO Pact to the largest democracy assistance organizations in Eastern Europe. He managed Pact`s Belarus portfolio between 2006 and 2016. He continues to serve as Pact`s Eurasia advisor.
