On 7 September 2017 an international conference timed to the "Eastern Partnership" Summit, which will take place in Brussels in November 2017, was held in Minsk. The participants of the conference assessed the results achieved during the functioning of the initiative and discussed the future of the Eastern Partnership in the context of the existing geopolitical situation in the region.
